Designed for artists and enthusiasts of all levels, this 4-part series offers a hands-on exploration of various printmaking techniques, each with its unique charm and creative potential. Each session is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the technique, ensuring you leave with both knowledge and inspiration.You can choose to attend individual sessions that pique your interest or join us for the entire journey. 

Session 1: Gelli Plate Printing
March 25, 2:00-3:30pm

Unleash your creativity with Gelli plate printing, a fun and accessible printmaking technique perfect for all ages. Using a gelatin-based printing plate, you'll learn how to apply acrylic paints and create textures using everyday objects. This session will guide you through the process of making vibrant, one-of-a-kind prints without the need for a press. It's an excellent way to experiment with color, texture, and layering.

Session 2: Linocut Block Printing
April 1, 2:00-3:30pm

Step into the world of relief printing with our linocut block printing workshop.  This session will cover the essentials—from design transfer and carving techniques to inking and printing—providing you with the skills to create striking, high-contrast images. It's a perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and artistic expression.

Session 3: Kitchen Lithography
April 8, 2:00-3:30

Discover the magic of kitchen lithography, an eco-friendly and inventive printmaking process that uses common household items to mimic the principles of lithography. You'll learn how to create detailed and nuanced prints with this simple yet surprising method. 

Session 4: Cyanotype
April 15, 2:00-3:30

Conclude the series with the enchanting process of cyanotype, a photographic printing method known for its striking blue prints. In this session, you'll mix light-sensitive chemicals, apply them to paper or fabric, and use sunlight to develop images. Discover the beauty of this historic technique and create your own mesmerizing blue artworks.

Materials can be provided or obtained on your own. Please refer to the materials list below for details. 


Materials are included in the cost. You will be able to take home all the tools used in the process. If you'd prefer to buy your own or already have some of the tools, I have included links here to an Amazon shopping list. Supplies can also be purchased at Colorest in Red Bank.
